Behind the Woman

We often hear, "Behind every great man is a great woman". Let me turn the table for you.

I am a 38 year old wife and mother who has been able to pursue her personal dreams outside of the expected roles. I am able to "run". Yes I do run marathons but that's not what I'm speaking of. I'm able to successfully run a business. I'm able to say that I opened a small business during a global pandemic, during a recession.

Who was behind me, The Woman, telling me to go for it? The Man. Who was behind me, The Woman, taking on the brunt of the household work while working his own badass career so that I could work 6 days a week to cement the future of my business? The Man. Who was behind me cheering me on when I was able to cut my 6 day workload to 5 days because the future of my business was and is cemented? The Man. Who is behind me, sweeping me off of my feet, every day? The Man.

To The Man,

You're a great man. I thank you today and every day for letting me know that I'm The Woman, a great woman. I love you babe! Happy 4th Anniversary!
